Jerry

My brother Jerry had a lack of oxygen to his brain during birth, resulting in a developmental delay. Jerry’s developmental age is approximately 7 years old.

Growing up, my parents cared for Jerry at home. His doctors and special education teachers connected us to many great resources. Much love and support were given to my parents from grandparents and other family members to assist with raising Jerry.

Originally, my parents were Jerry’s conservators and when they passed away, I became Jerry’s conservator. Just as Jerry did with my parents, Jerry and I talk every day. He is very transparent about all details. If anything is in question, then I can discuss with his staff, Developmental Services of Dickson County (his Medicaid Waiver Provider), or his Individual Support Coordinator.
